Thanks, I was looking at something like this
However I'm wondering if 1 gig of ram would be better. Your thoughts?
They cost a little bit more but still cheap IMO.

Well, I went to pick up my load yesterday and the shippers said the load was canceled. I immediately called C.H. Robinson and they said to sit tight for 10 minutes and they would call back. After 45 minutes I headed back home.

Called the broker and said WTF. You were suppose to call me back!!! They said they were trying to get a hold of the shipper. I then told them it didn't matter as you ordered a truck and did not use it today so cough up $250.

They said they will have to see what the shipper will pay. I said, I don't care about the shipper, I want $250 from YOU. They said we don't pay TONU, it's up to the shipper. I said , no, you hired me so you pay. The shipper is no longer in the loop, this is between me and C.H. Robinson. They said they would call back in a few minutes. 2 hours later I call the manager and tell him about this. He tells me they will give me $150. I said no, I want $250 per the industry standard. He says he will have to see what the shipper says. I say no, it's between your company and me.

Then I get on the phone with The Internet Truckstop and the bond company. Both agree I am in the right and to send a bill for $250. If it's not paid in 30 days ITS will put a black mark on their rating and the bond company will file against their bond.

I have a feeling C.H. will send a check for $150 which I will not cash. I plan to send it back with my original invoice saying it's wrong and proceed with the filing.

Today should be interesting to see what C.H. does as I sent the management email describing what I plan to do. My guess is that they will pay the $250 and say that the shipper said it was OK. I also plan to bill the shipper explaining that C.H. stated it was their responsibility.

It's not the money but the issue and I plan to cause as much trouble as possible. The shipper is close by so I also plan to pay the $35 court fee to bring the company in front of the judge if they don't pay also. I know it won't come to that but I'm sure the company will be quit pissed at C.H.

So, here I sit waiting for another load today and Bandit lives an extra day.

And I'll keep living. I crossed the border back into the states just for our rematch. Come up to Seattle and help me load 18,000lbs of HHG tomorrow morning 8)

I loaded something QUITE unique and expensive today, to the point where I can't talk about it (per United). I will talk when it is unloaded though! No secret marshals though, but close 8)

I was just down at my truck and a flatbedder from Canada was next door unloading. I stopped and talked to him and he said he would like to get his own authority but could not afford the insurance.

Now, get this....He is leased on to a carrier and still pays $17,000 for insurance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Steve, what does your rate agreement state about TONU? The "industry standard" is only as good as the contract you have with the broker.

BC, why are you doing HHG? I thought you had some super great trade show gig that you were going to make $250,000+ per year off of.....

Truck ordered not used.

There is no TONU in C.H. Robinsons rate agreement as is with every rate agreement I've seen or carrier package I've filled out including Landstar.

In the beginning I tried to write things in but none would agree to it or would say the legal department needs to approve it. So, in the meantime, you never get a call back from legal and you don't get the load.

I've already spoke to ITS and the bond company and both will file a negative report no problem.

Just got off the phone with the CEO of the company I attempted to pick up at yesterday. I told him what was going on and he called me back 5 minutes later stating that they pay the industry standard $250 for TONU.

He also was told that C.H. Robinson know this. I told him what was going on and he's not happy. He told me to bill them and bill C.H. Robinson. He said if I am not paid within the 30 days the company will pay me directly. He's also getting on the phone right now and ripping C.H. a new one for even THINKING of trying to get me to accept $150 instead of the $250 they pay and pocketing the difference.

Steve

Were the gears that were replaced in your front rear end actually part of the power divide or the ring and pinion? If it was power divide gears kind of makes me think way back to when you first started out and everyone was telling you that you were using your power divide to much and at to fast of speeds.
