KLLM ?
I been scanning KLLM's site..
they appear to cover all 48 (no NYC). Anyone have any experience with them or know of someone who has (or is) working for them ? :?:

1. I have been with them since '93 they have been good to me, but not everyone is as happy. I am in the OTR fleet
2. Solos go west, not all the time. You will get plenty of runs east of I-35 I have not been west in 3-4 months. not that big a deal to me, I do just as well on my miles running east of I-35 3. About 1400 power units, all frightliner except for about 200 internationals. No petes 4. I averaged 2600 per week in '07 5. You are routed and given fuel stops by the run. All the big t/s, Pilot,TA, Petro some Loves. Ask that you fuel 80% of the time at the recommended stops. Use comdata and the cards are open, in that we can fuel anywhere they take Comdata.

They just picked up a massive local account here, and I'm curious about looking at them. I'm sure every account's different, to an extent, but how are they in your experience?

Things could always be better no matter where you are but......here goes..
I pickup produce for Walmart and deliver it to a cold storage house, Inland Cold Storage in Riverside CA. All live loads but a trailer drop back at ICS. Im on the night shift so Im back in the yard sometime between 2am and 6am depending upon where I am picking up at. I generally pickup in Calif, Nevada and Arizona. They just re-negotiated their contract with Walmart and in most of the drivers opinions, it didnt go well. We get 34cpm, 25 dollars per pickup and 19 dollars an hour for detention after 2 hours. Once I drop the trailer in Riverside I have to bobtail to the yard in Fontana and drop it there to get my car and go home. This is where I have the biggest problem. Say I get back at 2am. As far as they are concerned my log book ends at that time. So they want me back in the truck driving at noon the next day. But, I still have paperwork to finish and leave at ICS before I can then bobtail 20 some miles to the Fontana yard to drop off the truck and get my car and drive home. I live an hour away from the terminal (or more with lousy Calif traffic) so by the time all is said and done I am getting home somewheres near 3am. Now to be driving at noon, I have to be back in Fontana by 11 or so which means I have to leave my house by 10am which means Im up at 9am which means I have 6 hours at home every day before I am off to work. Which means about 5 hours a day of sleep. Which might have been enough at 25 but not at 55... :sad: I really look forward to my days off so I can catch up on my rest. Walmart requires that we count every pallet so there is no resting at the produce sheds. I actually got more rest driving OTR!! Im right now applying with a company to go back out on a Western Regional account, home stops during the week and off every 7-10 days. At least I will get some sleep..... :roll:
