:?: [b] I would appreciate it if someone that currently or formerly worked fot Summitt Trucking tell me some detail of what the company is like ..More info than the webpage offers ..I would like it straight from a drivers mouth ..If anyone out there could take the time to help i'd be greatful

 

Just like any other OTR company. What's the difference?

 

we all hope the grass is greener on the other side and some company's are worse than others ..thats the natue of the business ..i realize they all have positives and negitives ..but some companys the positives outweigh the negitives ..I'm just looking for a little input ..thats all

 

Best one can hope for is

Reasonable miles...on time hometime

and to be left alone by the monkees that run these companies..

Other than that it all boils down to just sitting and driving a truck all day.

They have several makes of trucks. You get what you get.

Don't get a speeding ticket, they'll can you. Ask me how I know :roll:

Night and weekend dispatch is completely worthless. Once you leave the gate, you're on your own.

Their Q-comm directions are terrible. You'll want to have a laptop with a navigation program onit. It'll say to turn left, when you should turn right. not to mention the street names might be wrong. then they will wonder why you are late.

You'll most always get home on the weekends.

Maintenance department is decent at best.

Check out the loctaion where they keep their wrecked trucks. Seems like a bunch to me. I pass by there everyday. I"m waiting to see my old truck turn up sometime :lol:

Would I go back? Yes. They are close to house, and they are probably not the worst company out there IMO.

 

As stated on a Crete thread "Logs audited against Qualcomms" , is this the case with Summitt ?..Are they a break your B@lls company ?

I'm asking for my boyfriend who has no online access ..He's only been driving since the 80's ..with a clean record ..Is everyone a smart A$$ ?

 

1. Where in Kentucky does he live? 2. Is he within two hours of Louisville or Cincinnati? 3. Would he pull a tanker? 4. Does he have a hazmat endorsement?

If the answers are yes to 2, 3, & 4.... let me know and I can steer him toward a very good company that will pay him well to run 100% legal.
