Default is there any good trucking companies in michigan???

I have been a Truck driver both over the road and local for about 7 yrs. I have been with a lot of different trucking companies, mostly because I'm looking for an honest company that is not just out for them selves. You know that song by Johnny Cash... the one about him working for every company. I haven’t worked for them all yet but its getting close.

If your a driver, you know most companies will start you off really good for about 5-6 months then just stop running you and the paychecks start getting smaller. Now I admit I’m not the best driver on the road but I try really hard to be one. I'm more of an average runner. I'll run hard when I need to but I have no problem with kicking back and cruising.

The bad thing is this industry has messed up my work record. There is only 1 company I left that i'm thinking I should of stayed with them and totally take the blame on my self. The others, either the trucks wasn’t reliable breaking down all the time, or they would call me in to work when I was local and I lived a good 45-50 min from the yard. I would get to the yard then the load would cancel and I'd be sitting at the yard all day just for them to tell me they don’t have nothing and send me home with out any kind of pay for the day.

Other companies, I would stay out for a little while and when I wanted to come home they would bitch at me for taking a couple extra days home after I just ran my ass off for them for the last 2- 3 months. all on time del.

If anyone knows of any O/O I can driver for, not sure if id would be better but I have tried a few companies none of them have worked out. I just want to run and be home most weekends. If possible would like get home Thursday night or Friday morning and go back to work Sunday afternoon around 5 or 6.

I would like to get either a Dedicated run to some where in TX, West TX, AZ, GA, Anywhere in the south to south west area and south east. I need to bring home at least 600-700 or more a wk. Would really like to have some kind of benefits if possible, if I'm driving for a O/O I understand if you cant help me out with that.
Would like paid tolls, if running in the North east I cant afford to pay them out of pocket. EZPASS AND PREPASS. Willing to run, most areas only place I want to stay out of is CANADA please please no Canada.

I have experience with both Dry van and Reefers. I'm willing to learn tanker, car hauling would really like to learn enclosed car hauling, Bull racks, Live stock. ETC, just not flatbed please.

If anyone know of anybody or company that would be willing to take me and knows how this industry is please let me know.
Seams to me that the average length of employment anymore is 6 months to a year. Cuz there is a lot of companies that make promises they don’t always keep. So you have to keep looking for the better job until you can find a place to stay with.
Maybe 20-30 years ago, you could stay with one company for the rest of your life. I just haven’t seen a company yet that I can trust yet. Maybe someone out their in cyberspace can help me find some one I can count on. If any of you know of anyone please email me. I'm not a bad driver I just have bad luck with companies.

Thank you,
Your fellow driver,
Papa bear

Yeah I'm a clutz so doing to much moving isnt prob a good idea. I help friends move sometimes. Not that I dont mind some heavy lifting or anything. I just dont want to hear people yelling at me if I bang into the walls or something. Or dealing with nit picky people. Thanks anyway. lol

And It doesnt have to be just michigan, but need a good company that will hire out of mi and maybe has a yard or something.
