[quote="Cyanide"]Okay, okay, the cat's finally out of the bag :P

Not a bad deal. A few drivers have talked about doing the same. Smart way to become an IC. Low risk. Now you get to deal with accountants and lawyers. Oops, most truckers are lawyers - just ask them  Good luck and keep us posted.

Not a bad deal at all...

Especially considering the cost, or rather, lack thereof! My thanks to all the I/C's who listened to and answered my endless questions during the months upon months of waiting to make the leap..... Maniac, Mike3fan, Orangetxguy, and Paul McGraw.

Yep, I'm thinking that this is going to be a very good deal over the long run.

Congrats, I was wondering if you could pm me more info on Driving tankers. Its always been my favorite since I was a kid. I start school on Dec 17th with the Teamsters School local 251 in Rhode Island. I called Superior in Springfield the TM said they mainly hire a newbie out of NETTS but Im hoping he will change his mind when he meets me after schooling. I will also try pming you.

My only advice to anyone starting their own busines (whether trucking or a corner hot dog stand) don't try to outsmart the government.

Hey Cyanide...I have enjoyed reading your posts about tankers and Superior Carriers. I have recently applied at 2 tanker outfits, one being Superior Carriers. I talked to Scott at the Bridgeport, NJ location he seemed really nice. Hopefully I will be on board there soon. Do you have anything good/bad to say about the Bridgeport location?

Make room for the newbie!! Only 5 years OTR, but even less on the message board. Thanks to all for sharing. I was looking at dry boxes only until I stumbled across all of you tanker yankers. Must admit Superior is looking mighty good.

I'm hearing what you guys are saying about things getting slow, which is the norm. If I were to switch to tankers, do you guys have any suggestions on whether I should go ahead and get into the system or just wait until things pick back up?
