Do a search of my previous posts on working LTL.

OD is an Ok middle of the pack LTL carrier. Southeastern is rough from what I've read & heard. Both are going to be better than most any OTR gig.

OD is OK

But they have their flaws like every trucking company. Up here they are non union. Overtime after 60 HOURS!!!!!

Talk to a few of their drivers. Trust me talking to drivers will really make you see the light of a company. I was almost signed on with Conway. I spoke to the top senior driver and after hearing what he had to say and speaking to drivers from a few other compnaies they were definitely not for me.

Talk to drivers and then make an intelligent choice on what BS you are willing to put up with.

Good luck

A lot of times when OTR drivers approach me about my job, I'll just make it sound like it's the worst place in the world to be because I dont want joe slob ruining the image or getting canned a month later because he's the slowest learner in the pack.

I try to talk with drivers from companies that I am interested in on the road. I balance what everyone is saying because some may be having a hard day and others are just kinda wacky. I look for common threads in the descriptions. If one driver says the equipment/maintenance sucks i take it with a grain of salt. If 10 say it then there probaly is something there.
