Economy? Come back? Don't hold your breath. Go back to Swift if you have to.

knight is undercutting swift and taking many of their old customer base here in the west. the fact that i don't even see as many swift trucks out and about tells me something is horribly wrong at that company. seems like mr. stocking is running the company into the ground faster than cunningham ever was. chit man, i'm around the corner from their sumner yard and it's somewhat empty in there. i mean, you can actually pull into there right now (2233pst) and find a legit parking stall.

So thats 430.76 a week. What did you bring home about 3-350??

Take that 430.76 Divide that by 60/hrs a week thats 7.17/hr give or take.

Man that is bad when you look at it like that. You gotta run.

Well the months are ticking down for me, so if I have to jump into that boat, I'm taking a deep breath.

Beggars can't be choosers in my case.

God, I'm ashamed that I used to defend them! I mean 3.5 years ago they didn't seem that bad, but then again I had a dedicated run so it was hard for them to screw it up. Nowadays I don't even know that company anymore! I've heard them called"the Red Swift". Good luck Guys on finding better work! Can't imagine going back to OTR, just seems like you guys are getting screwed worse than ever

Default Knight in Shining Armor?

Skimping on the maintenance is the dangerous part. It reduces expenses in the short term, but does not save money. Eventually that fix it work needs to get done or else the expensive problems start increasing, such as DOT shut downs, larger problems developing putting the truck on the side of the road, then comes the late load costs.

When companies undercut, they cut their own throats.

Yeah, I'd say that Knight is pulling an Arrow. Without the RICO charges (well, for the moment at least.)

CSA 2010 will hurt them if they don't keep up with the maintenance. Will also kill the driver if they get caught at the scale with it
